Title/Author: Pendragon An Historical Novel by Douglas Carmichael Publisher, Date, Edition: Blackwater Press (1977) First Edition, so stated on the copyright page. Dust Jacket price: Condition. $9.00 The dust jacket is in fair condition, sporting a few closed tears and an overall even soiling. The most egregious defect is the yellow stripe down from the top of the front panel where an old piece of tape that 'repaired' a tear has been removed. The jacket is now in protective covering. Binding / Size: 9.25 by 6.25 inch hardback with 302 pages bound in full blue cloth stamped in gold on the front cover and spine. Contents: From the front flap of the dust jacket: "This is the saga of the hero who was known to the people of the Dark Age Britain as "The Bear." In the ancient language of the fairy folk this name was Artza. As King Arthur he has been hailed by writers from the Middle Ages to the present. Now, in this exciting and highly original version of the story, Douglas Carmichael emphasized the hero's Roman heritage and sets the tale against a vivid background of historical reality...." Condition: The outer edges of the text block are a bit dusty but internally this is a clean, bright, tightly bound and unmarked copy. Overall - a good to near very good copy in a fair dust jacket. Postal charges include delivery confirmation. And as always -- Satisfaction guaranteed. |
