Even if he hadn't been cruelly gunned down, anyone who was paying attention knew his story wouldn't have a happy ending. His public persona was so confused: a tempestuous mix of poet, thug, sensitive soul, and woman-chasing playa. The same elements that made his downfall so unavoidable are the ones that make it a no-brainer that he would continue to fascinate and sell records years after he took his residence in heaven's ghetto. STILL I RISE is 2Pac's fifth posthumous release. For all his posing and posturing, 2Pac did possess a lifetime worth of talent, talent that was crammed into his brief time in the spotlight. Even what's left over at this late date has significant artistic merit. From "Letter to the President," an earnest, simple, and direct admonition to Bill Clinton to the simple, perfectly old-school "Homeboyz" (which harkens back to his DU days), the tracks on STILL I RISE showcase what 2Pac was--an intelligent, complex talent.

About various pieces of jewelry in my auction:

Back in the 60's and 70's my mom was a stay at home mom, watching people's kids along with her own. She started getting interested in stones and making jewelry with them. That grew to buying settings and stones to fill the settings. She ordered crazy amounts of stones and settings - rings, pins, necklaces, bracelets, tie tacks, cufflinks... pill boxes - you name it she made it. And she used all types of different media. Of course being a stay at home mom - without a driving license - she had very few venues to sell her wares. She was an avid archer and won numerous awards and titles with her ladie's team - so she would bring her jewelry along to sell. Now, we've gone through her things and organized it again after all these years and found she has a store full! And we thought she'd get a kick out of selling her things on ebay and finally making back some of the time and money she spent all those years ago. So - when you see a piece that was my mother's for sale on ebay - it is from 1965-1976.

Dodd's & 11 W. 30th street jewelry offered many beautiful figural & holiday jewelry, highly collectible. Jewel Creations jewelry is made by the same company. Jewel Creations jewels are all unsigned, but many pieces are the same jewels seen signed Dodds and 11 W. 30 Street. Another way you can identify them is through catalogs they used to publish.
