My books are graded as follows:

"New" - New
"As New" - Could be sold as new, but that would be cheating
"Excellent" - A book in top condition without any particularly noticeable damage (some page yellowing may be present, depending on the age of the book)
"Very Good" - A book with minor wear signs
"Good" - A book with wear signs - foxing, bending, age marks
"Fair" - A book with wear signs - foxing, bending, minor tears, age marks, written in
"Poor" - I don't sell poor books

If a name is written in the front of a book, it could still be graded 'Excellent", "Very Good" or "Good"

Postage and handling costs and how to get a discount

Packing can be expensive in both materials and time. I live in the country and my nearest post office is 20km away.  I need to buy the packaging, postage stamps, weigh the items, pack the items, address the envelopes and cart the lot all back to the post office.  This takes time and fuel.  In addition I have to pay PayPal fees, listing fees and final value fees.  If I don't cover my costs, I can't offer you items to buy. That's why I have a packing cost as well as a postage cost.

My handling and postage charges are clearly marked and you should factor it into the cost.  If you think they are too high, please don't bid.

Getting a discount on your postage and handling costs
If you buy more than one item from me within a five day period I'll share the savings I get on PayPal and Australia Post with you by giving you a 15% discount on your total handling and postage costs if you pay for all items at once.

Environment
To keep packing costs to a minimum and help protect the environment, I often reuse old packaging.  Sometimes my packaging won't be flash but it WILL protect your purchase.  Please recycle the paper after use.  The stamps can be given to charity.

Registered post?
Once I post the article, unless it is registered, I can't be held responsible for what happens to it.  I am happy to register the item for you if you think it necessary.  It costs about $3 more than the postage and handling cost already quoted.  If you wish me to register your item then please let me know and I'll reissue an invoice including it and arrange registered post at my post office.

Feedback
My reputation as an honest and fair Ebayer who posts items quickly is very important to me.  I do my very best to accurately describe my items but sometimes (very rarely I am pleased to say) I stuff up.  If I do or you feel that what you have got is not what I described, then please contact me so we can work out a mutually agreeable solution.  I want you to be happy and come back again.  If you leave me neutral or negative feedback without discussing it with me first then I can't fix your problem.
