My records are conservatively graded visually using an executive sunlight desk lamp. This lamp is enhanced to show all marks or scuffs.

GRADING CODES:

  • M- No marks, appears unplayed
  • VG++ 1-4 small surface marks from the sleeve or brushing along fingernails, no scratches - record was well taken care of and looks hardly played. Strong variation of this grade sometimes given. 
  • VG+ Over 4-5 surface marks. Strong variation of this grade sometimes given.  This grade tells me this record has been played a few times but still in nice shape. No digs of any size that you could feel on the vinyl.
  • VG  For more obsure records with light scratches & scuffs without any playing problems. Strong variations of this grade.
