POLICIES AND Book conditions: PLEASE READ
SHIPPING: I hand carry all items I sell to the post office and include a delivery confirmation number you can track on line.
International Buyers: (non-U.S. or Canada) Although I do not advertise world-wide shipping, if you wish to buy a book from me, I will try to help you. Unfortunately, it is an expensive and time-consuming proposition. I suggest you purchase one book and ship First Class if you just want to go cheap, but 3 - 4 books Priority Mail if you want more bang for your buck. If the volumes aren't over-size, I can fit 3 or 4 of them into a flat-rate box, and you pay the same shipping for 4 as you would for 1 or 2.
CONTACT: I check my listings morning and evening, and pick up EBAY messages at those times, too.
MORE, MORE, MORE: I post new listings, when I have them, on Saturday and Monday mornings.
I always include exact information about the condition of any book I sell. Reasons for ranking this item as I have are in bold. I rank as follows:
MINT OR MINT-D: Book is exactly as received from publisher. MINT copies are flawless. MINT-D books have a publisher’s defect. In the case of Easton Press books, defects I have seen are 1) an ill-sewn corner or 2) a scratch or depression in the page gilding. These defects are rare, but if a MINT book I am selling has one, I always report it. However, I will not take responsibility for MINT-D defects and will not accept a return of a MINT-D book unless I am at fault in not reporting it in the book description.
LIKE NEW: Book is in perfect condition. Binding is tight but not mint-tight because it has been read. Possibly, though rarely, a LIKE NEW book might have a manufacturer’s defect, or one/two very insignificant flaws (one small scratch, one small bump, etc.). No bookplate attached. NO FLAWS.
FINE: Book is in excellent condition, still beautiful, but is older, may have shelf-wear or scratches. No bookplate attached.
VERY GOOD: A quite nice book, overall, still suitable for display but with several minor flaws. Any otherwise new or fine book with an attached bookplate I rate VERY GOOD.
READING: Book is a good reading copy, in good condition if your object is to read the book. It is not a display copy, but it is not going to fall apart in your hands, either. It may have quite a few flaws: fading, shelf wear, scratches, bookplates, loose spine. I report these flaws accurately.
I never sell ANY Easton Press or Collector’s edition that has odors, torn binding, or water/grease/fire damage. |
