FAQ
Q. - How much is shipping? A. – $10.00 for stretched and $5.00 for rolled.
Q. - What are the images printed on?
A. –They are printed on breathing color 800m fine art quality canvas. This is the best canvas available. I use an Epson 9880 large format printer with inkjet technology and 200 year archival inks. My prints meet the same archival requirements for gallery or museum artwork.
Q. - What are the measurements of the paintings? A. –Obviously it will depend on the image, for example if it is a 24”x36” print, the actual image is that size. Edge to edge. The borders (depth for stretch prints) are 1 1/4 inch.
Q. - Do they come ready to hang? How do I hang them? Are they framed? What does gallery wrap mean? A. – Yes, if you order the stretched version. I will stretch the print on museum quality wood stretcher bars. The print has a 1 1/4 inch border around the image that is “wrapped” around and mounted on the back of the bars. There are no visible staples when hanging. The print will have dimension hanging from the wall. This is an alternative to framing, which can be very expensive. Two level screws 12 inches apart can be used to hang print directly on the stretcher bar. Prints are fairly light but I suggest using proper wall anchors for drywall if you cannot use wall studs. Or you can use any other hanging hardware of your choice, alligator teeth, wire, loop holes, etc.
Q. - Can I combine shipping if I order more than one? A. - Yes, I will ship your pictures together as long as they are purchased within the time that I'll be sending out your first pictures. It will be an additonal $5.00 for stretched and nothing for rolled.
Q. - How long until I get my pictures? A. – As soon as your funds are verified I will print your limited edition print. Once dry I clear coat it for protection. After it is dry I begin the hand embellishing process. Due to the thickness of added brush strokes it usually takes two days to dry. Once dry and stretched I will send them out. Ground takes 2 to 3 days so give about a 7 day period until you get them.
Q. - Do you do custom work (e.g. pictures of my family or band)? A. – I do take on some custom projects. Email me with what you have in mind and I will let you know.
Q. - Do you take suggestions? A. – Yes, If it is something that I can connect with, I may just paint it.
Q. - Are they really signed by the artist? A. – Yes, they are signed by me Travis Knight, not of the celebrity themselves.
Q. - What does the limited edition mean?
A. - It means that there will only be a set amount of prints done for each image. My editions are of 250. This makes them more valuable than an open edition. Once there has been 250 printed then the edition is closed. There will only be 250 ever made!
Q. - Can you ship to my country? A. – I will ship them anywhere outside the U.S as long as you're aware that you'll be paying for the shipping.
Q. - Can you ship my pictures using a different method of shipping? A. - No. Fed Ex picks my orders up from me directly and it's too much of a pain to change things around. Sorry.
Q. - This is a gift for a friend; can you leave a special note for her/him? A. – Of course, just let me know what you would like me to say.
Q. - Can you give me a discount if I order more than one? A. - Yes, I like to give discounts to buyers of 3 or more pictures. Just contact me and I'll let you know what kind of discount I can give you.
Q. - Why haven't you responded to my emails? A. - I respond to every single email that I get within 2-3 days. Check your junk mail or spam mail. My emails sometimes end up there.
Q. - What payment methods do you accept? A. - I prefer PayPal.
Q. - Are all the pictures signed and numbered? A. –Yes, I hand sign and number each print before I hand embellish them. This means I paint on top of the print. Giving it an artistic touch and leaving brushstrokes and texture to it. I then coat it with a UV protective coating.
Q. - Just checking the status of my paintings? A. - I also purchase online and know what it's like to be waiting for a purchase, so I sympathize, but please understand that art takes time. I email you when I receive your payment and when your pictures have been shipped with a tracking #.
Q. - My pictures arrived damaged. What should I do? A. - Just contact me. If they were damaged during shipping, be prepared for me to ask you to send the damaged pictures back to me and I'll send you a replacement, no charge, once they arrive and I'll reimburse you for the shipping. Shipping employees are like anybody else, sometimes they take good care of the packages, and other times they can be negligent. But the risk vs. the savings is worth it. This is also the reason I suggest paying for the insurance. |
