This is a copy of a newspaper article from the Philadelphia Record dated Thursday, January 25, 1945. Stated "Reproduction by Photocopy", it has been enlarged onto a composite board. The article, written before the Sunday broadcast celebrating Broza's 20 years in radio, covers Stan Lee Broza's family life. There is a picture of Stan Lee Broza and his son Stan Lee Broza, Jr.. In the margins and at the bottom are nearly 100 signatures.(see pictures) These signatures are not photocopies. The first signature at the bottom is Leon Levy. It is in very good condition. However it is browning. No smells.

Measures 27 1/2" x 18 1/4".      Can include frame with glass. Please let me know because shipping cost will increase.

If your interest is radio history, you may enjoy owning this bit of memorabilia.

Stan Lee Broza, A Broadcast Pioneer

Stan Lee Broza began work at WCAU selling radio comercial time for the station. On Halloween day, October 31, 1927, Stan Lee started hosting "The Children's Hour", which lasted for 30 years. Through the years, The Children's Hour introduced Rosemary Clooney, Eddie Fisher, Ann Sheridan, and Frankie Avalon, to name a few. The program went on  television in addition to radio when WCAU-TV started broadcasting in March1, 1948.  Broza was the first President of the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia, serving from 1962-1963. He passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 1970.

Dr. Leon Levy and his brother Isaac Levy were the founding fathers of the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia. Dr. Levy was the brother-in-law to William Paley. "Bill" purchased the United Independent Radio network and renamed it CBS. The Levy brothers were some of the original investors and founders of CBS.
