UP FOR SALE IS A GENUINE VICTORIAN CAMEO CARVED IN SHELL WITH A SCENIC DEPICTION OF A HOUSE AND TREES AND SET IN A TWISTED, GOLD FILLED SETTING.

MARKINGS:  The inside has a plaque that states 1/20 10 KT GF. 

ITEM DESCRIPTION:  The setting on this cameo is a twisted wire and gold braid.  It is a brooch only and measures 1 5/8" x 1 3/8".  The picture is very scenic and looks almost oriental because of the tree.  It is a house on a hill with what looks like an aqueduct in rocky surroundings.  The shell is a darker conch shell type.  I have taken several photos so please ask any questions if I have not clarified enough information here Contact Me.

CONDITION:  The condition is excellent.  There are a few scratches on the back that almost appear to be a signature but I could not make out anything significant.  It is also possible that the catch mechanism could have been replaced or it is the original workmanship.  It looks to be original.  There is some wear to the metal where the bezel connects to the base but is only visible on magnification.  I did not see any cracks with the loupe or upon magnification but there are lines that can be seen when held up to the light.  I tried to capture as best I could in the photos.

International buyers have a choice of First Class International, Priority Mail International or Express Mail Guaranteed.  The latter is the safest shipping method as it provides tracking..
