Material: Wooden Ship Model

Santisima Trinidad

Truly a masterpiece!

This is my expertly built truly museum quality model of the 'Santisima Trinidad'!

Brad new still sit in the box!

Meticulously crafted figurehead and head rails in quality metal material, size scale and color all according to the historical ship.  Stern windows and taffrail decoration are sculptured with excessive attention to detail and all with first class craftmanship.  Accurately reflect the beauty of the original  San Felipe-- not like some others, merely larger in size, but ignore details and facts, disrespectful of  history.

This auction is for an exquisite 1:100 scale model of the San Felipe, with details including bound masts, yards with stun's'l booms and foot ropes, carved full sails running and standing rigging with carved scale blocks, dolphin-striker, safety nets, carved fiddle-end prow with coat-of-arms, anchor with chains and hawse pipes, catheads, bitts, stove pipe, sail winch, belaying rails and pins, companionway, helm and tiller, ship's bell and other details. The planked hull with open gun ports with metal guns, pressed stern and quarter gallery decoration boarding companionway!

About "Santisima Trinidad":

Built in Havana in 1769, Santisima Trinidad carried 120 guns on three decks. Badly damaged in the battle of Cape St. Vincent in 1799, she was rebuilt with the addition of a fourth deck and the number of cannon increased to 136, making her the largest ship of her time. In 1805, she sailed into the Battle of Trafalgar with a crew of 1,048 men and her immense 4-decked sides showing the barrels of her formidable guns. The British disabled and captured her during the battle. She sank in a storm the following day, ending her 35-year service to the Spanish Navy.

Measurements overall   Dimensions: 38" (L) x 13" (W) x 30" (H)(H)

*For this huge item, we set flat shipping $95 for inside the United States .  The shipment is huge and very heavy, so we will handle this package with the care required.  Of course it will be shipped with full insurance and delivery confirmation so a tracking number is available.

  • The ships are built from scratch.  They are not pre-fabricated kits that someone puts together.  All handcrafted from real wood taking many hours of tedious labor.
  • Individual hull planks bent and shaped, wood is then placed piece by piece form the hull and deck.  If you look closely, you can see the nails used to secure the strips of wood to the internal ribs.  This attention to detail alone sets us apart from competitors.  Some Admiral's Line ships utilize double plank on frame construction.  Wood is cut piece by piece and put over the base of the ship's hull to the water line.  It's a lot of work and creates a fantastic look.
  • Incredible quality & detail, one of the owner's favorites!
  • The rigging, stitching and attention to detail on each ship is outstanding.
  • The ship is made from fine quality wood such as teak, mahogany, oak, rosewood and ash.
  • No assembly required
  • 100% Scratch Built
