1949 Chicago Bears Schedule Poster Original Unrestored - In 1949 the team introduced its distinctive uniform number font style for the next half-century, the classic "rounded" numerals in white on the navy jersey; more importatnly they changed the direction of advertising the Bears marketing was to take.

Early Bears schedule posters had promoted players and their college affiliations. This Bears changed in the mid-40's to a comical if somewhat fierce "Cub" to attract attention to their schedule. 1949 marked the first rendition of a ferrrocious Bear. No doubt meant to remind the fan base of what the bears had become in the 1940's - "The Monster's Of The Midwway".

All documented by this B quality Schedule poster - Three (3) Sheet in size about 92" x 41"   Unrestored.

A daunting image; the art work was used in the production of the 1949 Media guide that year as well. A rare example of sports promotion,
