The Chinese form of chess, xiangqi, is probably the most-played board game in the world. Here is an elegant glass set, with a brilliant, metalic board. The rules, in English, are also included.

GLASS AND GOLD

The pieces are jewel-shaped glass, with their Chinese names engraved and colored on the bottom side. The board surface is made of heavy, smooth fiberboard, covered with a glistening gold metalic coating. The coating, when viewed closely, has details of embossed images of Old China.

HANDSOME, STURDY SET

The board when opened measures 15 3/4 by ll 3/4 inches; the golden playing surface is 12 by 10 3/4 inches.

The pieces are 1 inch in diameter and 3/8 inch thick.

The board and pieces together weigh 3 pounds, 5 ounces.

ELABORATE PACKING

The entire set is packed in two layers, for protection, convenience and elegant presentation. Please see the box and rugged, weather-resistant zippered bag, pictured below.

The rule booklet is in clear and concise English, with illustrations and diagrams to show the board set-up, the pieces and their moves.
