It is in excellent condition, and would make a fine addition to any collection!

The Artist: László Gabay

(1897, Budapest- 26 December 1952, Budapest)

 

Majoring in sculpture László Gabay was trained by Imre Simay and Lajos Mátrai at Országos Magyar Iparművészeti Iskola /Hungarian National School of Applied Arts between 1914 and 1917. Most his works were small- scale bronze or terracotta statues. His most acknowledged masterpiece was titled as “Disappointment”, furthermore, his “Vagabond Figures” were very popular as well.
