Up for sale is a very nice in its original box a Simon model SVS 5822 Slide Viewing System. It is used, but has been checked out and ready to use and it is in excellent condition. Following is the information on this table-top theater, called the new Simon SVS 5822 slide viewing system.

The SVS evolved from years of vewing slides on everything from light boxes and hand viewers to slide projectors. The get the benefits of all these, plus the features of a slide editor, Simon has put together a system that can be carried anywhere and set up in seconds. The SVS features an 8” x 8” screen so brilliant you don’t have to darken the room. And you get 110 degree wide angle viewing with superb edge to edge sharpness. The drop in loading stack holds 40 sides, controlled by a regulator weight for smooth, effortless single stroke feed.

The System snap on Editing Rack holds up to 16 2” x 2” slides at a time lets you select and order your slides for the most effective presentation.

The System also allows you to view negatives or X-rays perfect for doctors or photographers who want to view oversized film. Held by a non scratch quick release roller grip, film is secure as well as convenient. A Simon Exclusive: 3 Magnifications

In action, the SVS 5822 gives you something no other viewer does, a choice of image magnification.

You may view your slide at the conventional 5x magnification, which shows the entire 35mm slide enlarged to 5” x 8”. Or with a pull of the magnification control knob you can magify the image to 8x, filling the entire viewing screen. And the really close up inspection of central detail, the SVS provides astartlingly greater magnification, 22x. At this scale you can examine your slides for sharpness more critically than with a magnifying glass.

I have loaded this with slides and it works perfectly. I was impressed with brightness that the viewer has even in a normal lighted room as you can see by the pictures. One was taken with a flash and the other without. It has two brightness levels and it focuses very sharply. Also included with the viewer is a new in the box lamp, which should give you many hours of slide viewing.

Refund and Return policy:  If for some reason the item is defective (my fault) or not as represented in my listing, I will give a full refund including your shipping costs, but I may ask that you return item before refund is given.  If that is the case, I Pay full return shipping costs on the item. The item must be returned to me in the same condition it was received by you.  If the item is no longer in the condition you received it, (damage caused by the buyer) I will still take it back, but you must pay the return shipping cost, plus a possible 20% restocking fee to repair the damage to the item. This does not apply to damage from the shipping carrier, if there is damage from the carrier you must contact me as soon as possible so that I may file a claim for the damage to the item and have them come and examine the item.
