Being offered on this auction is gorgeous boy figurine made by Royal Copenhagen. This is Royal Copenhagen Figurine # 3689. It is called ‘Boy With Horn’. It features adorable child dressed like harlequin. He is sitting on a large barrel and playing horn. Sculptor Ada Bonfils designed it. Her initials are incised on barrel. Ada (Adda) Andrea Elizabeth Bonfils (1883-1943) was at RC Factory during 1915 – 1941. She is famous for her adorable figurines. There are manufacturer marks and design production number 3689 as well as production painter initials  ‘Bi’ printed in blue on the backside. We do not know the name of this painter.

The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory was founded in 1775. The three wavy lines, symbolizing the three waters separating the country - the Sound, The Great Belt and the Cattegat - became the trademark. Known throughout the world for decorative porcelain, plates & collectibles; quality porcelain set from common service to Flora Danica. Figurine on this auction is marked on the backside with genuine three waters mark in blue. There is a standard ‘Crown Royal Copenhagen Denmark’ mark printed in green on the backside of this figurine. The second ‘E’ in ‘Copenhagen’ is underlined in this mark and this truly identifies production of 1975 - 1979. This figurine is fully discontinued now.

This figurine measures about 1 ¾” in diameter and stands 4 ¼” (11 cm) tall. Condition is immaculate with no chips or cracks found. Colors are bright and vibrant. Please look at the pictures in our viewer to find out more about this piece.
