Fine Early Haviland & Co. Ice Cream Set, 25 Pieces

We are selling this very fine quality 25 piece Ice Cream set made by Haviland & Co. Also marked with the retailer- Davis Collamore Co. NY. Circa 1870.

This set consists of 25 pieces including the ice cream tray, 12 plates and 12 bowls. Plates and bowls are square in shape.

All pieces detailed with fine raised pattern that is consistent on all pieces. Each also with diaper fold corners on all pieces.

The corners are brown/green in color and detailed with delicate floral gilt decoration.

Also each piece with raised and decorated swag like design.

This is a magnificent set and of the finest quality.

Many of Haviland pieces from this time were used in the White House.

This set certainly of the quality but was not acquired from the White House. (I wish).

Tray is rectangular in shape and does have hair line crack ending on the rim with a tiny chip (please see images).

All the other pieces appear to be in fine condition with no damages or chips. There are some areas with very minor loss of gilt detail along the edges.

All pieces with the same Haviland and Davis Collamore markings.

Tray measures 12-1/4” wide , 8” deep, 2” tall

Square plate measures approx. 7-7/8” square

Smaller square plate/bowl measures approx. 5-1/8” square.
