Methuen 12th edition, January 1922. Frontis by G Robertson, 302 untrimmed pages plus 8-page book catalogue.
 
Someone has cut the margins on 6 pages (12 sides) - I have no idea why! On 4 pages, the cuts are JUST to the end of the printing (see last photo), so the story can still be read. On the other 2 pages there is some margin left.
 
Worn - hinges cracking, considerable foxing and browning from age, otherwise all pages attached, all legible.

The classic childern's story, with Mr. Toad in his motoring outfit on the spine!
