Publisher's Note
In the heat of the city, a man is out of time: speeding in a beat-up Ford Tempo, blasting easy-listening music. Reporter Steve Everett drinks too much, makes love to his bosss wife, and has just stumbled upon a shocking truth: a convicted killer is about to be executed for a crime he didnt commit. In the cold confines of Death Row, Frank Beachum is also out of time. Ready to say good-bye to the wife and child he loves and hello to the God he still believes in, Beachum knows he did not kill a convenience store clerk six years ago. But in a few hours--if Steve Everett cant find the evidence to stop it--a needle is going to pierce Frank Beachums skin. The killing machine is primed. The executioner is waiting. And so is the priest. Now the clock is ticking down and the race is on--between the reporter and his demons, between the system and its lethal flaws, between the last innocent man and society's ultimate crime . . . .

Industry reviews
"Andrew Klavan has an astonishing gift: he can patch his characters into your spine...a brilliant, riveting, dangerous novel."
George Dawes Green

"'True Crime' is classic, white-knuckled, time-running-out...screaming suspense....Leave the lights on--you'll be up all night."
Gary Devon

"A package of big scary fun...Andrew Klavan is the most original American novelist of crime and suspense since Cornell Woolrich."
Stephen King

"Mr. Klavan, who has a perfect sense of timing, delivers all the cliffhangers and hairpin turns that you want from a beat-the-clock suspense thriller."
New York Times Book Review - Marilyn Stasio (06/18/1995)

"Not merely has [Andrew Klavan] struck it rich...but he has done so with a considerably better than average thriller, one that is strong on atmosphere and cast of characters. That an utter suspension of disbelief is required in its final pages may strike some readers as inconvenient, but this really is quite a small price to pay for what otherwise offers a few hours of intelligent diversion."
Washington Post Book World - Jonathan Yardley (06/25/1995)

Condition:  Very Good

This book is in very good shape.  The only small flaws I find are:  The upper right hand corner of the front cover has a turned back corner.  2.  There are a couple of creases in the back cover.

Terms

Payment can be made by any means approved as appropriate by eBay.  A personal check will be held until the check clears.

Shipping

We ship Media Mail.  It is affordable and allows us to ship some items free.  We will ship Priority if the buyer requests it and is willing to pay the additional cost.  Please understand that Media Mail takes 2-9 days for delivery.

We love combined shipping. When you buy two or more books, the shipping added is only $1 per item.  If you are watching several titles, buy one of the titles, and decide to buy another--simply email me to be patient until you finish shopping.  On free shipment, there is no $1 charge for combined shipment.

How our combined shipping works:

On any combination of books, it works like this:

You will pay the winning bid price and the shipping for the first book sold.  After that you just pay the winning bid price per book and a dollar for each book.

For example, if the first book sold was 95 cents with 2.95 shipping, the first book would cost .95 plus 2.95 = 3.90.

On the second book, if it sold for .95, you would add a dollar for shipping and the second book would cost $1.95.  You add 3.90 to 1.95 and would owe 5.85 for two books.

If the third book sold for 1.00 plus a dollar shipping would be 2.00 + the other two would be 7.85.  If you stopped there, you could divide 7.85 by 3 to get the cost of each book.  For this example, the individual book cost would be $2.62.

You can do this for 7 books or 7 days, whichever comes first.  If I don't cut off somewhere, it could go on forever.

 We do not ship internationally.
