1922 Original Wire Photo- Testing Out A Portable Radio Set in the Woods of Long Island, New York

This is a scarce image of J.V. Candido, and his brother Walter, testing out their portable radio set on Long Island.

Original paper caption tag remains attached below photo, and reads: "Making the Trees Talk- What Next. Here is J.V. Candido in the woods with his portable radio set. He is accompanied by his brother Walter. They are from Flatbush, Long Island, and are experimenting with a receiving set attached to the trees, with a view of testing it out for a camping trip they plan this summer. 5-23-22"

Photo measures approx. 6.5" by 8.5", and is in good condition, with some light general wear, and a few small creases. Two pieces of clear tape to back of paper caption tag. Back of photo features the stamp of Pacific & Atlantic Photos, Inc., New York City. Pacific & Atlantic would go on to merge with the Associated Press (AP) in 1931.

Payment and Shipping- I ship to the United States only. Successful bidder please add $5.50 for priority mail shipping with delivery confirmation. If a bidder wins multiple of my wire photo auctions, I will gladly ship them all together for that same amount. I pack carefully and ship promptly. Please contact me with any questions, and check out my other interesting wire photo auctions. Thank you!
