For sale is a Completely original CD offered by Tim Carr. All songs were written, performed, and produced by Tim. Tim Carr was born in January, 1968 in the central NY town of Norwich. Drawn to music at an early age, he received his first guitar as a birthday gift when he turned 4. By the age of 6, he was learning his first chords, and by 8, he was singing his first tunes. Tim joined the U.S. Marines after high school, and carried a guitar with him to all corners of the world. His experience and audiences grew as he was privileged to play the clubs and cafes of Europe, the Far East, The Middle East, and all points in between. Wherever he went, he sang the songs that told the stories of his life in the hills of upstate New York, and people found comfortable common ground there. Returning home after his tour was over, Tim played the local country bars and honky-tonks, often for little more than gas money and applause. Even when he wasn’t booked somewhere, nights would find him with his guitar across his lap, singing around some campfire somewhere. Today, Tim continues to write and perform his homegrown tunes for hometown crowds, family and friends alike. Having settled with his wife and children into the small village of South Otselic, NY, he is currently at work on his third independent album, he has begun venturing out again to play at parties, barbecues, and small venues. He sings from his heart, knowing he would be doing it whether or not he ever made another dollar at it. He does it because he can’t imagine not doing it, and the proof is in the music. Just like the lyrics of his song, “The Me I Used To Be” spell out, “You can see it in the way I hold this guitar in my hands. You can hear it in the songs I sing, and the music that I play.
