|
This auction is for a blue & white square jar lamp and matching silk shade. The lamp and shade stand 29" tall and the shade at its widest is 14". The lamp base is ceramic with a blue and white transfer that has been fired. The bulb socket is brass and of the European style where the shade attaches to the lamp's socket not to a harp. The base of the lamp is wooden, possibly mahogany, and in perfect condition. The on/off switch for the lamp is on the cord. The lamp shade is what I believe to be silk with a slight over-all slub and the shade is lined. The color is not a pure or bright white, but more an ecru. This shade and lamp were purchased in Asia and are approximately 30 years old. The shade has never been cleaned professionally but appears to be relatively clean considering its age. It has no tears and the only wear is on the underside of the painted frame, where the shade attaches to the lamp and doesn't show when the lamp is assembled. The lamp base is in excellent condition and has no cracks or chips. I have added a handling charge on this piece to cover the cost of insurance. Please ask questions before bidding. I do not ship outside of the contiguous United States. Payment for auction must be through Paypal. Shipping on this auction will be by USPS Priority Mail. An invoice will be sent at the end of the auction and payment is expected within 48 hours. I normally ship on Wednesdays or Fridays. Please bid with confidence and know that I will do my very best to meet your expectations. Thank you |
