P.T. Barnum SideShow Circus Freak Photo

Just found a few more of these 5" x 7" Circus Freak and Sideshow Photographs that I bought about 20 years ago at an antiques shop in West Virginia. Most of these photos have stapled to them an index card with a typewritten caption. There is also usually a four digit number on the reverse, written with pencil. At the time of my purchase, the proprietor told me that he got the photos from an actor who starred in the movie "Freaks". Supposedly, this actor occasionally came out of the mountains to raise some cash by selling off his memorabilia. Though the photographs were taken earlier (often considerably earlier), the Kodak photo paper dates from the 60's.

The particular photo in this auction has no caption. It is a photograph of an illustration and it appears there was a scratch in the negative (left side).

Nice sharp image. Condition is very good with slight scuffs, bumped corners. Slight staining on back. Penciled on back is "x694".
