HP Pavilion DV5000 Laptop REPAIR OR PARTS POWER ISSUE

Laptop only receive power from battery. Previous owner stated one day it just stopped charging.  I charge the battery on my dv2000 which happen to be compatible. I then installed xp pro on a 6GB hard drive & it worked. Preinstalled XP Pro softwares only are installed. This laptop connects to my wireless network so I was able to update all hardware drivers, XP SP3. Action includes notebook; battery still holds a good charge; remote control & original hp 65w power adapter.  Anyhow laptop is sold as it is with no refund, no return, no exchanges. Please dont bid if you are not familiar with laptop repair or os installation, unless you need it for spare parts. LCD alone is worth more than the entire laptop if you order it from hp.  LCD is flawless, no scratches, no dead pixels, its the glossy type, its also a widescreen. Auction style only, no best offers or buy it now. Laptop top plastic case shows some scratches otherwise rest of plastic is clean and in very good shape LCD. Hinges are tight,latch , latch release works. All keyboard keys intact. This laptop is complete except for missing manual, restore cds, ear buds. Win XP Media Center COA sticker is present on bottom so if you are able to reinstall XP, you can register laptop w ms. Photos above are actual pictures of the laptop. Laptop actually look better in real time than the pix. In order to avoid listing errors I copied laptop specs below from hp website, I did confirm laptop is the exact model from model no, prodct no & serial no from bottom stickers, everything matches except for RAM only 256MB,  Hard drive 6GB.
