~~DICHROIC GLASS IS CREATED BY APPLYING MANY LAYERS OF METAL OXIDES TO EITHER 

   BLACK OR CLEAR ART GLASS & PLACED IN A VACUUIM CHAMBER TO FINISH.

~~ THE END PRODUCT IS LARGE SHEETS OF DICHROIC GLASS, THAT THE ARTIST CUTS INTO  THE SIZES

    DESIRED FOR  THE IMMEDIATE  PROJECT. THESE ARE THEN  CAREFULLY ARRANFED & LAYERED, PLACED IN THE

    KILN & HEATED TO A MELTING TEMPERATURE (APPROX. 1475 DEGREES) DESIRED FOR THE CHARACTER OF THE PIECE.

    THE GLASS TURNS TO A MOLTON STATE & FUSES TOGETHER TO FORM A COLORFUL  & UNIQUE 

     DESIGN.   

     THE GLASS IS THEN ANNEALED, BY SLOWLY COOLING FOR STREGNTH & DURABILITY. AFTER COOLING IT

     MAY REQUIRE RESHAPING OR TRIMMING & RETURNED TO THE KILN FOR "FIRE POLISHING" FOR A SMOOTH

     FINISH.

~~~ALTHOUGH THESE PIECES ARE FIRED FOR STRENGTH & DURABILATY, THEY ARE GLASS & MUST BE HANDLED WITH 

     CARE.
