ON-3 Night Vision Goggles is an optical-electronic device intended for visual observation and identification various objects in night time, as well as for orientation in terrain, operating with documents and carrying on research tasks, appraisal surveys, etc inclusive indoor operations without illumination.

2 feature -Detachable IR transmitter. Its not a powerfull transmitter. Usadge only for reading maps.Because in war conditions being invisible is very important.Enemy sniper looking in night vision aimer can find your IR transmitter very easily.
