The katana, or the Japanese long sword, refers to a specific single-edged sword traditionally used by the Japanese samurai. The weapon was typically worn by members of the buke warrior class and represented the social power and personal honor of the samurai.

In the first Kill Bill movie, O-Ren Ishii wielded a black natural wood shirasaya katana to deadly effect. She did, that is, until Uma split her skull with her Hattori Hanzo katana in one of the greatest movie fight scenes of all time.

This beautiful piece is a must have for any collector. Its magnificent natural black hardwood saya (the scabbard), featuring gold Japanese writing decorating both (same as in the movie), and handguard piece are intricately designed as individual works of art.
