This petticoat is made of white cotton in prairie length, about 32 inches long which includes part of the waistband, since the top area of the waistband tends to snuggle up around your waist. It has a drawstring waist for more comfort and size flexibility. It is a fit-all size, and draws in to the smaller waist sizes and draws out up to about a 56 inch waist. It is about 70 inches around at the hip level, and very full at the bottom, about 175 inches around the bottom ruffle. The petticoat has three tiers, and there are three more tiers of ruffles on top of that. I chose not to put any crinoline or net in this petticoat, thinking it may be more comfortable, and if you are in need of it for as a pioneer costume petticoat it is more authentic.
