Old Turned Wood Egg Timer

It reatures three turned wooden posts and ood disks for the top and bottom with an hour glass bulb. I cannot tell you the exact date of this nice piece, but it is not new. It comes out of a farm estate and was found way back in one of the kitchen cabinets. It measures about 5 3/4" tall and about 3 7/9" at the top and bottom. The wood and the bulb are in very good condition. As expected, the sand inside runs nicely.

Just a neat old piece from kitchens past in these days when everything is digital. Also, quite decorative in any primitive, country, vintage kitchen.....or, due to its neat wood, anywhere else.

Just an aside.....people also use to use these as telephone timers way back when.
