ENESCO Precious Moments are one of the worlds most popular gift and collectible product. It all started by drawings created by Sam Butcher of teardrop-eyed children that he drew for his family and friends. In 1974 he partnered with a friend to start the Jonathan and David Inspirational greeting card business. (some of the older figurines have this signature stamp on the bottom) In 1979, ENESCO Corporation transformed his artwork into porcelain bisque, which we know as Precious Moment Figurines. He called them precious moments because they spread loving, caring and sharing in every day situations.
