Here are two vintage never-used linen dish towels made by Leacock and signed by noted textile designer Virginia Zito. Each has its original affixed Leacock paper label which says "100% LINEN by Leacock, RN14926, Made in U.S.A." Both are in great condition with no stains, no holes, no damage. They were folded when I got them and have stayed that way so the photos will show the creases. The towel pictured on the left has blue, pink, green and black graphics of various herb pots with the words: "Much virtue in herbs, little in men." The second towel has tan, pink, gold, brown and black graphics of bread, butter, honey, a roast pig, cider and apples with the words: "Give me yesterdays {sic} bread, This days {sic} meat, and Last years {sic} cider." These would make a great addition to any vintage linen collection. |
