Up for auction is this unusual post card. It is an original from 1910 of James H. Ames and his family who ran for Governor of Maine for the Prohibition Party. On the back is his message to the public stating that children will be ruined if saloons aren't closed. The card is 3-1/2" x 5-1/2". There are some creases at the lower right and the lower left corner is nicked. There's some foxing on the edges and a couple of little dings. We're making this sound much worse than it is. Reproductions of this card sell for $15 so this is a great price for the original. No reserve.
