Vtg Liquor Decanter Caddy, Musical Train, How Dry I Am
How FUN is THIS!!! This is a circa 1960s liquor decanter caddy in the shape of a 1880 Iron Horse Locomotive Train. Set into the section where the conductor normally resides is a dark amber/brown glass decanter with squiggle gold lines at the top and an embossed diamond pattern on the sides. The bottle is about 6 1/4" tall and 3" square and topped with a gold tone cap which looks like it could be used as a pour spout.
The front of the engine has four round slots which hold four different colored pony or shot glasses. The colors are purple, amber, blue and green. All of the glasses are etched with a floral / wheat design. They are about 2 1/4" tall and are 1 5/16" in diameter.
The train is black with gold trim and accents. It measures 6 3/4" tall, and is 14" long, and 4 1/4" wide. You wind the musical aspect from the underside.
HERE'S THE BEST PART!!!!!! When you lift the decanter out of the train, it plays "HOW DRY I AM". Isn't that hysterical?? No sneaking a quick belt at midnight after everyone else is in bed!
In great condition! Fun item for your holiday parties!
