GRAND TOUR MARBLE CHESS/CHECKERBOARD TABLE c1870s

Presented is a marvelous Grand Tour miniature marble table with a wonderful chess or checkerboard top made of different types of marble inlay. This little table is made of solid marble. It does not disassemble. This piece was made around the 1850s to the 1870s.

The table has one chip to the shaft and one repair which we have pointed out in the last photograph. There is also one tiny flake to the rim on the top of the table. These flaws are not terribly noticeable. The top of the table has wonderful visual appeal. There are no other chips, no cracks, no other repairs, and no breaks.

The top of the table measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter and stands 5 1/4 inches tall.
