These dolls were manufactured by the Duchess Doll Company. They date from the early 1950's when Disney's Peter Pan movie was popular. Definitely attributed to the movie but not sure if authorized by Disney. Duchess dolls were a cheaper alternative to other dolls of that era. Eyes open and close. Arms and neck move well. Legs were not jointed. Usually Tinker Bell is found missing her wings. Good condition overall. Noted defects is a light water stain on cardboard back of Tinker's fabric wings, did hard to see on the fabric side. Some slight staining to velvet clothing. I believe Peter had some shoes, but not there. Duchess is known for marking their dolls but there clothes were stapled on so cannot check. Peter's hair is thin. Not sure if they came with any accessories but none were with them when I got them many years ago. Dolls are approximately 7 inches tall with Tinker's wings extending beyond that. Please feel free to email any questions. Thanks for looking. |
