This lot contains (6) A World Book- Childcraft Reading readiness Program skill books from The Letter People series, popular in the 1970's and 1980's. All 6 skill books have a copyright date of 1981. All the books are used, have some wear and tear and are of varying condition. There is a slight glare in the picture (this was the best out of too many tries) so I will try to describe each one. **Please keep in mind, I am not an expert on book condition, as a vintage book collection might be. I am just a thirty-something who only bought these for nostalgic recollections of kindergarten. Mr. R Rainbow Ribbons~ pretty good shape. Minimal pencil/pen marks, pages themselves have no markings. No "scribble scrabble". **of note, a few of the plastic spiraling (seen on backside) have some places were they were bent that have lightened at the bend. Mr. N Noisy Nose~ pretty good shape. Minimal, if any, pencil/pen marks and no "scribble scrabble". **of note, there are very slight creases on the cover from normal use/storage. There is also a little brownish stain/discoloration spot on the back. Mr. T Tall Teeth~ good shape but definitely had more action than Mr. R and Mr. N. **of note, the cover has a few slight creases. Additionally, there are creases around the spiral. There are a few transfer impressions from someone writing on another paper on top of this book. There are a couple markings/stains on this book (pink spot on back cover and faint blue "scribble scrabble" as well as a few small yellowish coffee stained colored spots on first page). Pages may have some printing/manufacturing ink marks and transfer impressions as described above. Mr. X Different~ this book would be in really great shape . . but it appears that someone/something bent it in the middle causing noticeable crease marks on front cover and back cover. ** also of note, front has creases near the spiral from being used/opened. The pages in this book do have a slight indentation in the middle from the bend . . . but not as noticeable as covers. Minimal, if any, markings/stains. No "scribble scrabble". Mr. Q Questions- poor Mr. Q looks like he took the brunt of the damage from the bending described in Mr. X. The crease marks on this book's covers are even more bent as are the indentations on pages. You can tell it has been through it. Minimal markings/stains. No "scribble scrabble". and finally . . . Ms. A A’choo, quite possibly the cutest of The Letter People, looks as though someone didn't treat her quite right. She has quite a few brownish coffee stained drip spots/rings, plus a little coffee colored spill marks/staining pools/yellowish discoloration on cover and first few pages. Also, Ms. A was probably the most used, since she is the first letter of the alphabet and evident by the pencil stab markings on the black circle answer choices on pages. Besides reminiscing on the good ol' days of kindergarten snacks and naptime, the worst condition books or pages could be cut out for collage and/or scrapbooking projects, plain ol' learning or coloring book. (Sorry for the novel. Just trying to be as honest as possible.) No refunds or returns. I will not be held responsible for lost or damaged items. Shipping to USA only. Paypal only. |
