This is a Goerz APO red-dot Artar 14" F9 lens mounted in a Copal #3 shutter, with a massive image circle of 23" which is an inch or so shy of 16x20, but covers 11x14, 8x10 or anything smaller with ease. I'm thinning my personal herd of lenses and so this beauty must go, since I've got no use for 2 different lenses in the same FL. The lens is in good shape overall, although there is paint wear, the glass is in good shape (there are some very fine cleaning scratches, but nothing that will affect images) and the aperture is smooth, although it has been oiled (I've had this lens for 4+ years now, and the aperture has never been a problem). The shutter obviously is not pretty, but it does it's job and all shutter times work correctly. As with all the Artar lenses, this obviously has scads of coverage, and with 11x14 it's near impossible to run out of image circle, and the sharpness and contrast are really extraordinary. This is one of the later "American Optic" Artars which are supposed to be sharper, but honestly, I've never really seen any difference between this and my other APO Artars. This is an excellent lens for anyone who likes to shoot color, or anything that requires great contrast and excellent sharpness.
I do ship internationally but if you are international,

Please ask any questions
well in advance of the auction closing, I have a hard time getting to all questions that are posted in the last few hours of bidding. I try to ship all items as quickly as possible, but it sometimes takes me up to a few days to ship an item, I don't do this for a living, so I'm not always able to ship as quickly as I like. If you have
any problems with an item or shipping, please let me know
before leaving feedback or filing a dispute. I'm a reasonable fellow, and I use this stuff as well sell it, so I understand the gear.
