As we state in our Terms of Sale, we can not and will not be responsible for where these items may have been before we got them. Unless it is stated that the item is new in the package, the item may have been "tainted", lol. I do not sell dirty or dingy items, and I always describe the items to the best of my ability. Peoples' senses are different, so what is offensive to some may not be to others. I can only speak for myself, but I will not sell anything that is filthy, or in bad repair without fully disclosing the physical attributes, and the reason the item is in the condition it is in, such as antique and too fragile to clean. I'm sorry to have to put all of this here for the good eBayers to read through, but after one particularly bad, super sensitive one, eBay advised me to put this in the description as predominately as possible, so here ya go!!!

THE ACTUAL ITEM DESCRIPTION, FINALLY!!!

You are bidding on an copy of England Dan & John Ford Coley's Big Tree Release BT 16102. The songs on this record are Gone Too Far and Where Do I Go From Here. This album was recorded in 1977. This is a great vintage record for any fan or collector. The vinyl still has a lot of luster and is in good shape. GRADING: Side A : 4.5/5 for surface, 5/5 for audio. Side B: 4/5 for surface, 5/5 for audio. Side A refers to the first title mentioned, and may not be actual side A if the sides are not marked. I am not a record grader, nor do I have the time to listen to each record in its entirety, so this is a visual and/or partial audio grading only. I try to describe the item as accurately as possible, but I am not a record expert. The gradings are my opinions of what I am seeing and/or hearing. I have revised my grading system, please see explanation below.

My grading system is as follows:

Visual

5- Mint or new- sealed items are assumed 5. Like new items will get 5 if there are no markings or scuffs.

4- Excellent/Near Mint- may have a few minor scuffs on the vinyl, and maybe some very light scratches from handling, but nothing that can be felt or perceived to cause playback problems. For labels, this allows for minor wear and aging only.

3- Very Good- may have a few larger scuffs on the vinyl, and maybe some light scratches, but nothing that can be felt by a fingernail or perceived to be a major problem for playback. For labels, this allows for a sticker or name to be written on the label, but no peeling or major scuffs.

2- Fair/Good- may have several large scuffs, some deeper scratches that may be felt upon inspection. This record will probably have some significant playback issues. For labels, this allows for scuffing, writing, some peeling.

1- Bad/Poor- This record will probably not play and will have major scratches or scuffs. Will not have much luster on the vinyl. For labels, they may be missing or badly damaged. I will not sell these on eBay.

Audible

5- great record, sounds great with little to no surface noises.

4- still a great sounding record, very minor popping or crackling, but not distracting in any way.

3- a good record, sound is strong, but more prominent popping and crackling, does start to take away from the purity of the music at this point.

2- fair record at best. This level may have one or two minor hiccups, but does not get stuck in a groove more than twice.

1- not playable. This level has major issues, and I will not sell these unless it is a scarce album, then I would suggest it to be a filler only.

As said before, I am in no way a professional record grader. All I can do is give a visual and/or partial audio inspection and tell you a perceived quality. I now scan my albums instead of taking pictures. This gives you the best possible view of the item. Please feel free to "steal" my pictures and put them into a photo editing program to blow them up super-sized to see the surface and label at the highest resolution possible. I no longer grade the labels, as you can clearly see them in the scans. I always describe my items to the very best of my ability, but I am only human, and mistakes can be made.
