Up for auction is a:
Rare 1824 "Down With The Bank" Hard-Times Token Coin 

The obverse of the token says "Perish Credit. Perish Commerce", "1824", and "My Victory. Down with the Bank". The reverse says "My Substitute for the US Bank" and "My currency MY Glory". There is also a tiny "T" above the Pig's tail on the Obverse. These tokens were commonly bought as souvenirs historic sties during the mid 1900's. This token, I believe, was sold as a souvenir prior to 1970. Much information is available about the smaller souvenir tokens, but I have been unable to find much information on this particular type of token, and have rarely seen it in auctions, whereas the smaller ones are quite common. The date of mfg is also an estimate. Bid accordingly.
