Some sellers are selling the Home, Academic version or OEM which has less function and no-resell value than this set. Some even are selling used or non genuine copies. Most of those version does not come in the full factory sealed retail box. Most of those do not have re-sell rights or limited rights, and limited installs. This renders your installation only useful for one computer. Or only for upgrading with a previous Office installed and other restrictions. So beware and read fully.

Some sellers are NOT putting the real photo to hide what they are selling which is not the real retail boxed sets. I have nothing to hide therefore what you see below is what you get.

Question: How many PCs can I install this into?

Answer: It is a major misconception that Office Ultimate or all Office 2007 versions are allowed to be installed on three seperate PCs.
That is wrong and dishonest!
Lifting directly from the back of the retail box, it states rather clearly that ONLY Office Home and Student is "Licenced for noncommercial use on up to three personal computers."

Office Ultimate's EULA states that:

1. OVERVIEW. These license terms permit installation and use of one copy of the software on one device, along with other rights, all as described below.

2. INSTALLATION AND USE RIGHTS. Before you use the software under a license, you must assign that license to one device. That device is the “licensed device.” A hardware partition or blade is considered to be a separate device.

a. Licensed Device. You may install and use one copy of the software on the licensed device.

b. Portable Device. You may install another copy on a portable device for use by the single primary user of the licensed device.

c. Separation of Components. The components of the software are licensed as a single unit. You may not separate the components and install them on different devices.

Therefore, it means that the user can install, activate, validate and use Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 on 1 PC desktop and 1 Laptop (Portable device).

If anyone else on eBay tells you otherwise, please call up Microsoft yourself and ask before you make your purchase. Money is tight in these hard times, so don't be impulsive!
