Finding oil is hard work - and so is getting it out of the ground. Today, nearly 95% of all US oil wells require pumps and one of the most common is the walking beam or "horse head." Seen alone or in groups wherever oil is found, this new accessory is a great way to model this vital industry anywhere on your layout.

Typical of American designs in use since the 1920s, it includes a detailed stationary diesel power plant, walking beam, rear crank and counterweight, along with the odd-shaped "horse head" front counterweight that gives the machines their nickname 

Stand a couple of these along side the Glenwood Oil Derrick (sold separatley) and your oil field instantly comes to life.

Common along rail lines this bobbing horsehead wells give loads of animation and interest at a low cost.

Designed from the ground up to be a WORKING model, the kit includes a hidden drive. Whenever you're ready, just add the Universal Gearbox and Motor Drive Kit #933-1050, sold separately, to power your pump. Complete instructions and precise engineering produce a great looking, easy to build replica.

• LOCOMOTIVE SPECIAL CONDITIONS:  This unit has an odometer and an hour meter on it for return both the odometer and the hour meter must read zero.
• For MTH items If the unit is run then normal factory warranty would apply and MTH would directly handle any warranty issues.
• On New  power units Factory Warrantees apply and are handled directly by the manufacturer under the terms of their warranty agreement.

SHIPPING: SHIPPING is done Monday thru Friday normally within 1 day of receiving payment.  Sometime a delay does occur due to weather or the commercial carriers we use to deliver the packages.  All customers receive an email notifying they of the scheduled delivery date at the time of shipping along with the tracking number of the package.

FREE SHIPPING:    FREE SHIPPING ONLY applies to packages shipped domestically within the continental United States.  Shipping outside the 48 states pay quoted shipping costs.
