GRADING GUIDE FOR MAGAZINES: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!

FAIR--As in very good, but missing pages and heavier damage.

VERY GOOD--As in excellent, but with some major imperfections, may have writing on cover, tears, creases, scratches, water stained, loose bindings: a heavily used copy. SOME ARE SUITABLE FOR FRAMING – IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU JUDGE TO BE FRAMABLE. I PRIMARILY LIST ISSUES FOR FRAMING, SO I’LL LET YOU KNOW IF I DON’T THINK ONE IS SUITABLE FOR FRAMING. THE GLASS IN THE FRAME HIDES MANY IMPERFECTIONS AND YOU AREN’T LOOKING AT THE ISSUE AS CLOSE AS YOU WOULD IF YOU WERE READING IT.

EXCELLENT—May have some spots, some loss of cover gloss, corner bends, water stains, small spine tears or minor creases from being read. May have label removed showing only minor marks. No major cover flaws. STILL SUITABLE FOR FRAMING OR AUTOGRAPHING.

EXCELLENT/MINT-- possible very minor spine wear, possible minor wear on edges, slight corner creases, water stains. No significant major flaws, no rips or tears and the staples are not loose, a nice tight spine. May have label removed showing only minor marks. GREAT FOR FRAMING OR AUTOGRAPHING.

NEAR-MINT-- no damage, no noticeable significant flaws. May have label expertly removed with barely noticeable glue lines.

MINT-no damage, no noticeable significant flaws. May have a laser label.
