BANANAGRAMS

Bananagrams takes no time to learn, can be played quickly, is suitable for young readers and adults to play together, and fits into your purse or the glove compartment of your car!  Not to mention that it's great brain work and addictively fun!

The rules are simple: every player starts with a certain number of tiles.  Each player tries to create a crossword using all of their tiles; when a player uses up his or her tiles, they shout "Peel" and everyone takes an additional number of tiles from the centre.  Words and tiles can be rearranged at any time.  When there are no tiles left in the centre, the first player to use up all his or her tiles wins.

Because both speed and vocabulary are a factor, it's one of those games that is great for all ages to play together.  Your youngster may surprise you by winning with lots of short words and quick thinking.  And being one of those games that is good for all ages, it makes a great gift for either a child or an adult.
