On offer, an amazing Pair of French "Empire" 1st Quarter- Period Side Chairs. These are extraordinary!- shield form back, heavy walnut wood with mercury gilt bronze adornments - [the gilt adornments are huge]. These are Estate items- there are minor repairs. They are very, very old - early 1800's so minor repairs are normal but nothing that detracts. I cannot say enough about this rare pair of Empire Period chairs. Dimensions - 32- 1/4 high by 19 inch [from front to back of seat] 19 inch wide.
