1900 Sterling Silver Sugar Bowl by Howard & Co. NY
Finely crafted solid sterling silver sugar bowl dated 1900. Rococo in design depicting extensive repousse work of scrolls and foliate patterns.
Bowl sits on four delicate scrolled feet and has two beautifully detailed scrolling handles. Inside of bowl is gold washed. Bowl weighs 200 grams.
This piece is stamped "STERLING", "HOWARD & CO.", "NEW YORK" and "1900". All marks are clear and appear on the bottom of the bowl. It also bears the mark "1316" which is most likely a pattern number. Howard & Co. was located in New York City from 1866 to 1922. They are well known as a maker of fine sterling silver holloware. This piece is 109 years old!

Condition of this piece is excellent.
There is one small ding, otherwise surface is shiny and smooth with only the slightest polishing marks.
