With her third album, FAITH, Faith Hill tasted pop crossover success--and she evidently liked the taste. BREATHE, Hill's fourth release, takes the pop/country stylings of FAITH to the next level. It's an appealing collection of pop, gospel, R&B, rock, and ballads, with just a bit of country thrown in. The production, featuring Hill's big voice surrounded by booming drums and screaming guitars, is so slick you could skate on it.
Love is the subject of nearly every song, from the exuberant "I Got My Baby," to the soulful "Love Is a Sweet Thing," to the cutesy "The Way You Love Me," with its Beatlesque backing vocals. But while Hill can obviously handle a wide range of material, she sounds best on the quieter, country-flavored numbers, like the title track, the lovely "It Will Be Me," and a haunting, vaguely Latin-flavored reworking of Bruce Springsteen's "If I Should Fall Behind." The most emotional track is "Let's Make Love," a full-fledged duet with Hill's husband Tim McGraw. Because McGraw's voice is unmistakably country, Hill adopts a similar sound to match him. And because you know they've lived the lyrics, the song--about reconnecting emotionally and physically with your mate--comes across as undeniably real.

CD is in Mint/Near Mint condition and guaranteed to play perfectly. Inserts are complete (some CDs may have holepunch in barcode). Please email me with questions before bidding.
I try to scan all my items to best represent what you're buying. I scan most of my items with new jewel cases to give the best/clearest view of the item, actual jewel cases may have scratches and tiny cracks. Any really bad jewel cases, I'll replace with better ones. Bidders can get a new jewel case upon request for .40 cents!

This is not my fully time gig, but to the best of my ability, all items will be shipped promptly usually within a few days of payment.

A word about grading:
I do not grade jewel case condition, since they can easily be replaced and be damaged through the mail.
New = CD is brand new, just as if it was in the store!
Sealed = CD is out of the plastic wrapping, but seal is unbroken
Mint = nearly perfect CD, no real visible marks, rare or harder to find items may have very slight wear.
Near Mint = one or a couple of slight marks, still really nice shape.
Good = few very visible marks on CD.
Fair = numerous visible marks on CD.
I try to grade my CDs fairly so there are no unpleasant surprises in the mail and guarantee all my CDs to play perfectly.
