Next up in our David Bowie vinyl re-issue series is the album which began the obsession with David Bowie's sexual preferences which probably had something to do with the cover of "The Man Who Sold The World" (No.26 UK '72) in which Bowie wears a rather fetching cream and blue dress with a drop cleavage whilst reclining on a chaise-longue fiddling with his hair! To say this was a bold move at the time is an understatement! What the album sleeve did do was gain David Bowie plenty of attention and usher in the beginning of Glam-Rock from January 1971. Also "The Man Who Sold The World " was the first album which utilized the line-up of David Bowie, Mick Ronson, Mick Woodmansey, Ralph Mace and Tony Visconti as Bowie's main unit throughout the Glam -Rock era. Beautifully produced by Tony Visconti and highlighting David Bowie's song writing skills to the hilt, "The Man Who Sold The World" is a perfect set-up for what was about to be unleashed on the world. Also the title track itself has spawned countless cover versions by artists as diverse as Lulu and Nirvana among others - proof positive of the influence that David Bowie had even at this early stage! - New & Sealed.

Orders usually ship within 2-7 business days. Please understand that it is impossible to keep all 100,000+ items (and multiple copies of those items) in stock at all times. Sometimes an order gets caught while re-supplying. Once an order is in the hands of the USPS, it can take another 2-14 days.
- Why hasn't my item been shipped yet?
Please be patient. It is somewhere in our delivery path. Sometimes our emails get screened out. The bottom line is that 90% of all orders arrive within 10 days and 99% arrive within 3 weeks.

Record companies take LP's cd's, and dvd's in and out of circulation all the time, without notice, to generate future demand. We have no control over this and it affects all media sellers.
