IT NEEDS THE STRING HEAD,YOU CAN BUY IT FROM ANY LOCAL STIHL REPAIR SHOP OR DEALER,HAS COUPLE SMALL CRACKS IN THE PLASTIC AROUND POWER HEAD,THAT DOES NOT AFFECT THE RUNNING OR USE OF THE TRIMMER.LOCAL PICK UP ONLY.
