Here we have an unused pair of Zeiss Classic 7x50 B/GA T* in the box with all manufacturer supplied accessories. If you think they're stunning to look AT, click =Buy It Now and look THROUGH them!! I sold my last boxed 15x60 B/GAT* for $2595 12 weeks ago. The Zeiss Classic line and porro line in particular are widely regarded as the finest medium size binoculars ever made. I say medium, because these are not the compact roof prism models that many birders prefer. Instead, this is the gift you give a fellow sailor who has recently been promoted admiral. It is the choice of sea captains the world over who are lucky enough to get their hands on a pair. Bright, razor sharp, durably rubber armored against bumps and falls, and meticulously constructed with exactingly precise greased individual helical focus knobs that expel moisture better than any other system yet devised by man. They are thus equipped to deliver years of trouble free operation in the most abusive conditions. See the iceberg approaching in the twilight of the Drakes Passage. The stable 7x magnification provides the ideal balance of magnification and holdeability for the mariner. The large T* coated 50mm lenses fill the dark adapted eye with light, allowing the narrow harbor mouth to be discerned amid a sea of rotting vegetation under a full moon. For astronomy, I can tell you the Japanese technological wonders have nothing on this instrument. While in terms of edge sharpness and theoretical light transmission, they may have, on paper, some insignificant advantage amounting to perhaps 2%, the truth is that the all important center fields of these Zeiss are probably the sharpest of any binocular ever made at any price, and the depth of field is enormous. The short barrels allow you to effortlessly raise them repeatedly and rapidly to your eyes without fatigue. Zeiss, using its superior lead glass with abnormally high refractive index, is able to bend the light in less distance than the competition! They cut, gut and bury the competition like the mortal garbage that it is by comparison with these stately standards. Of course, they are ideal for hunters and birders. The individual focus shouldn't pose much of a problem, for two reasons. First, one gets used to it rather quickly. Second, the depth of field is so massive that from 100 yards on out, one adjustment is sufficient. Grab them while you can. I say that because this is the ONLY place you'll find a pair of T* coated Zeiss 7x50 new in the box: with blank warranty card! If you require it, I will supply and custom fit a Pelican case to the binoculars for the ultimate protection from the environment. I can also arrange a no longer available original red Zeiss flotation strap as a Buy It Now for the winning bidder.
