Description

Unusual and stylish French purse type, crocodile leather, folding opera glasses, circa 1910.

Marked on the lens turner

LA MIGNONNE PATENT  Bte S.G.D.G.

The 'purse' opens with a spring when the button is pressed. The objective lenses are turned with the side button. The eye pieces wind in and out to focus.

Genuine crocodile leather outer cover, on sheet metal inner housing, gilt brass eye pieces and cross bar.

All in excellent condition and working order, good optics 2.5 X magnification.

The purse fold flat and opens with a good spring action and clicks shut on the catch.

Some light wear on the edge of the leather around the eye pieces, nothing bad. 

Original dark steel carrying chain and ring.

4,1/8" or 105mm wide maximum, weight 139 grams.
