Here is a wonderful old souvenir book from the state of New Hampshire. It is entitled "The White Mountains of New Hampshire ~ The Land of Scenic Splendor". The cover has an oval opening to reveal the picture of the first page, of the Profile that is no longer there. The book has not been read, as the cover doesn't have a crease, and I don't want to be the first one to crease it. So, I just peeked into it to get a picture for you. Each page has a photograph along with a caption. Some of the pictures are of ~

The Hotel Randall in North Conway

The Indian Head in Franconia Notch

The train at Mt. Washington

Panorama of Dixville Notch

and lots more.

Some of the photographs picture a car, and they look like a 1927 Ford, so that is how I am dating the book. There is no publisher listed, or date of publication.

There is a state map on the inside of the back cover. Opposite the map is a page of facts about the state. The original mailing envelope is included. It has darkened over the years, and it has corner rips. The book measures 5" x 8".

It's a great book to add to your collection!
