| Offered from a private collection is this great early 20th century or perhaps late 19th century native american hand made cloth(burlap) doll. This is the 1st of a pair we are offering. This example is of a man with super handstitch work through-out the entire doll. Great details around the headdress area, perhaps a hint to the tribal affilation?, hand stitched eyes, nose, and mouth. Great long flowing , looks like early veggie or animal fat dyed hair. Incredible detailed loincloth, interesting hand woven design! Constructed primarily from an EARLY burlap feedsack or some sort of burlap cloth. Doll measures almost 11" tall, 4" wide and about 2" thick. Great cloth covered real twig arms as well. Great example in super shape offered with NO reserve.
